I must admit, mobile computer media events do momentarily convince me that a new piece of technology barely different in any appreciable way from my current 3-year-old device will transform my life, injecting it with immersive happiness and cutting-edge meaning.

It's a weird flex for Google to develop APIs for a mobile device that hasn't existed in over a decade, but what do I know?

@agiletortoise this is a constant frustration for me with shows in DFW (and I don't know if it's specific to DFW). Although at the Damien Jurado show last week there was total audience attention. Which was good, because the actual music was so soft I could barely hear it from where we were sitting.

@agiletortoise This was the one thing that came with the overly-smarthomed house we bought in 2021 that I've been happy with. I've barely touched it since then, and its notifications are just right, only letting me know when it is not going to run because it has rained. Set and forget is my favorite tech. The Nexx gate opener, on the other hand...

When did Jira start infiltrating the non-dev world? Trying to reach real people, we've started getting automated replies from Jira running (for example) Square's HR dept and Syracuse University. I need less Jira proliferation, not more.
